In a world where kindness and generosity are often in short supply, Amb. Obioma Uzoigwe, a member of the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) and founder of Coach For Hope Foundation, shines like a beacon of hope.
Her selfless act of kindness towards a stranger in need has sparked a chain of kindness that continues to inspire and uplift others.
Born into a humble home, Amb. Uzoigwe's life was not without its challenges. Losing her father at the tender age of three, she was raised by her mother, who worked tirelessly to provide for her and her two brothers.
Despite the difficulties they faced, Amb. Uzoigwe's mother instilled in her a strong sense of compassion and empathy for others.
Years later, Amb. Uzoigwe's path crossed with a lady who came to her seeking food items. Without hesitation, Amb. Uzoigwe provided the lady with the necessities, expecting that she would use them to feed herself and her family. However, what happened next left Amb. Uzoigwe in awe.
The lady, instead of consuming the food items, used them to start her own small business. As her business grew, she began to help others in need, creating a ripple effect of kindness that continues to spread.
According to Amb. Uzoigwe, she went to Kaura market and was held behind her back by a lady. Wondering who the lady was, she asked why she was being held like that and the lady reminded her of her generosity which has encouraged her to use the items she received to start her own business.
Amb. Uzoigwe said she was encouraged that her selfless act had unlocked a chain of kindness, inspiring others to pay it forward. Her kindness had not only transformed the life of the lady but had also created a positive impact on the community promoting her to launch the Coach For Hope Foundation which she said will be used to empower and coach less privileged individuals in the society which willing in turn help change their lives for the better.
She said she was motivated by the success story of the woman she helped who used the small assistant to transform her life as well as the kindness she and her family received while growing up which has placed her and her two brothers in a privileged position today.
As a member of IAWPA and founder of Coach For Hope Foundation, Amb. Uzoigwe continues to spread kindness, hope, and inspiration to those around her. Her story serves as a reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can have a profound impact on the lives of others.
In Amb. Uzoigwe's words, "Kindness is a language that everyone understands. It has the power to transform lives, communities, and the world at large. Let us all strive to speak this language every day, and watch as the world becomes a better place, one act of kindness at a time."
She said she will be launching the Coach For Hope Foundation early February in remembrance of her late mother whose love and kindness continues to resonate in her life.
