Abubakar Malami (SAN), the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, has stated that Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was not acquitted by the Court of Appeal.
According to him, the appellate court only decided a single issue bordering on rendition. He stated that Kanu has additional pre-rendition cases to answer.
Dr. Umar Jibrilu Gwandu, Malami’s Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations, issued the clarifications.
The statement said: “The Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice has received the news of the decision of the Court of Appeal concerning the trial of Nnamdi Kanu.
