Why Should We Suffer In Silence?- Obi's Wife Ask As She Reveals What Women Will Gain From Obi Govt

The wife of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Margaret Obi has tasked women to leave the back seat and support her husband, Peter Obi. While speaking at a town hall meeting in Abuja, Mrs Margaret averred that women stand a lot to gain when Obi takes the mantle of leadership and she eventually becomes the first lady.

Decrying the position of women in Nigeria's politics despite having a high 49 percent of the country's population, the ex-Anambra first lady drummed support for her husband. She asked thus: “Why should we suffer in silence? We are making this call to women, you can and must empower the nation to birth a new Nigeria. When things go bad, women are the ones that suffer the most. I therefore encourage you to look at what the candidates have to offer you as women. The Obi-Datti pact with women is that they will ensure inceeased access to finance for women. We know that more money in the hands of women equates to a better life for our children. We are the ones that are raising the leaders of tomorrow”. What do you think about this?
