The Obio-Akpor Local Government Council Registry has officially announced its reopening to the public, intending couples and churches. This development is in line with the 4th schedule of the 1999 Constitution as amended.
According to the announcement, the registry is now fully operational to register couples, both new and existing, license churches, and provide affiliate churches with the latest registration requirements.
The Marriage Registrar urges couples to take advantage of the registry's services. For inquiries and further information, the public can contact the Marriage Registrar on Contact: 08033361881.
The reopening of the Marriage Registry provides an opportunity for couples to formalize their unions and for churches to obtain the necessary licenses. This move is expected to promote legitimacy and order in marital and church affairs within the community.
