In a grand ceremony held at his palace on Saturday, October 18, 2025, the Paramount Ruler of the Alesa Community in Eleme Local Government Area, Rivers State, His Royal Highness Emperor John Dimkpa Nkpe (JP), was bestowed with a prestigious double honour by the ICC Security Management Strategic Studies and Defence Institute.

The ICC Security outfit conferred upon Emperor Nkpe the Golden Guidance and Security Award and appointed him as a Worldwide Patron of the body. The delegation's leader, Chaplain Brigade Amb. Dr. Isaac Christian, and DSP Benard Okonkor (Rtd.) commended the monarch's exemplary leadership, describing him as an intelligent, respectable figure, philanthropist, and mentor.

Expressing profound gratitude for the recognition, Emperor Nkpe dedicated the awards to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the people of Rivers State, and the FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike, for embracing peace following the recent political crisis in the state. He emphasized the importance of forgiveness and peaceful coexistence.

The traditional ruler stressed the paramount importance of security in all facets of life, emphasizing that a good life and economic goals cannot be achieved without it. He urged the citizenry to view security as a collective responsibility and called on all levels of government to allocate more revenue towards security.

Emperor Nkpe announced new community regulations aimed at maintaining order and morality, including a ban on indecent dressing and severe punishment for stealing government property. He reaffirmed the community's vision to make Alesa a safe area, welcoming individuals with good intentions and clean hearts.
