A global non- governmental Organization and participant of the United Nations Global Compact, the International Association Of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA), recently inducted new members into the circle of global diplomats with prestigious status limited to individuals with examplary ideals, with the Eminent Peace Ambassadors Award.
The event held in Enugu on Friday the 24th of November, at the Filbon Hotel Upper Chime Avenue, with observance of the International day for the elimination of violence against women, had lots of dignitaries in attendance.

Under the distinguished Chairmanship of HRH Eze Arc Jude Obidiegwu, Eze Odenigbo the Second of Ikwuano- Obodoukwu Autonomous Community, Guest Speaker, Chief (Mrs) Uju Ken Ohanenye and key note Speaker, Mrs Ugochi Ejiekpe, new awardees, were inducted into the prestigious circle.
President of World Peace Amb Chief Per Stafsen, with Special Adviser to the Enugu State governor on SDGs, Hon Mabel Agbo, were all present at the event.
In his remark, a recipient of the global Peace Award, Mr Ikenna Offor, International Director, FS Initiative and founder MMILI OKWUTE TABLE WATER and FORTHRIGHT BOOKS in Nigeria, described his being honoured as a privilege, especially, in a challenging period like this.
While extending his message of hope and peace in Africa, especially, Nigeria, Africa's most populous nation, its general elections holds in less than a hundred days.
According to Ikenna Offor, it has been a turbulent period the world over, from the Covid-19 pandemic, to wars and conflicts in various parts of the globe, with little signs of declining before the end of the year.
" So being honoured today as Peace Ambassador of this noble Organization, at a time like this is certainly a huge challenge for us to do more in the face of these enormous challenges, especially, for those of us involved in international development" he further stated.
He thanked the organisers for their thoughtfulness and sincerity of purpose in pursuit of world peace, in accordance with United Nations declaration on rights of people to peace as adopted in 1984, by the body.
He further pledged to be a good Ambassador of the Organization.
