Sammie Okposo offered a public apology to his wife, Ozioma, via his Instagram page on 24 January 2022 for his infidelity. The apology came a day after a lady, known only as African Doll, accused him of impregnating her and abandoning her.
The gospel musician told his fans that he would be taking a step back from his ministry to focus on restoration and seek forgiveness.
He initially deleted his social media handles, but restored them a few days later.

Senior Pastor of the House on the Rock, Paul Adefarasin, has reacted to the death of gospel artiste, Sammie Okposo.
Adefarasin discovered Okposo at the start of his ministry and the 51-year-old initially served as a keyboardist.
He then went on to become a much celebrated artiste and record label owner.
In an Instagram post, Adefarasin said Okposo will be missed on this side.

Kemi Filani recalls that the music producer, Sammie Okposo slumped on Friday morning and died. He was aged 51.
Okposo made headlines early in the year after he publicly apologized to his wife, Ozioma for cheating on her with another lady in the United States.
In the apology which was shared on his Instagram page, the singer lamented over the incident which he noted happened in 2021.
The singer further stated that the development has seen him step aside from ministerial work until “full restoration.”
