Appointed Amb. Ubong Obott as head of Health Mission In Nigeria for IAWPA and presented His Certificate of appointment to him in Uyo Ibom Hall 16th May, 2025 as eminence peace ambassador  

In a momentous occasion coinciding with the International Day of Living Together in Peace, International Day for the Boy Child, and World Family Day, the International Association of World Peace Advicates (IAWPA) has appointed Ubong Obott as its newest Eminent Peace Ambassador and Head of the Health Mission in Nigeria.

"Speaking at the event held at Ibom Hall in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, the State Director, Prof. E. Asuguo, commended IAWPA's efforts in promoting peace and harmony in the region. He encouraged everyone to support Amb. Ubong Obott in his new role, urging the youth to shun social vices and embrace peace.

In his response, Amb. Ubong Obott, IAWPA's Eminent Peace Ambassador and Health Mission Head, expressed gratitude to God and IAWPA for the recognition. He emphasized the importance of peace and harmony in society, pledging to continue promoting peace and humanity with divine guidance."

As a peace advocate, Amb. Obott called on families to shun domestic violence and abusive words, promoting peaceful relationships and conflict resolution. He also emphasized the need to give male children opportunities to express themselves and their feelings, just like female children, to create balanced homes and harmonious societies.

Amb. Obott urged the Federal Government to provide opportunities for male children, particularly in education and personal development, to prevent crisis and conflict in society. He highlighted the importance of supporting both educated and uneducated boy children to build resilience and promote harmonious communities.

The new Eminent Peace Ambassador attributed drug abuse and other social vices among children to parental neglect and lack of training. He called on leaders, NGOs, churches, and faith-based organizations to come together to support less privileged and homeless children, promoting peace and security in communities.

IAWPA's Uyo PRO, Amb. Ms. S. Umoh, stated that the appointment of Amb. Obott is a testament to his dedication to promoting peace and harmony globally. She prayed for God's continued guidance and direction for the new Eminent Peace Ambassador as he embarks on his mission to foster sustainable development goals and gender equality.

As the world celebrates the International Day of Living Together in Peace, Amb. Obott's appointment serves as a reminder of the importance of collective action in promoting peace, understanding, and harmony. By working together, we can create a more peaceful and secure world for all.
