The ICC- Security management strategic studies and defense institute ( ICC - SMSSDI ) recently honored Dr. Apolos Isaac, a renowned security expert, for his outstanding contributions to security strategy management. In his acceptance speech, Dr. Isaac expressed his gratitude, stating he was overwhelmed by the award.
Dr. Isaac emphasized that his work is not just about being a security personnel, but about making a meaningful impact. He shared experiences from Rivers State, where favoritism and neglect of security personnel have hindered effective security operations.
He urged the nation to prioritize rehabilitation and counseling for victims of crime, including rape and drug, and called for a shift in focus towards transforming individuals and communities.
As an estate management expert, Dr. Isaac highlighted the importance of information transformation in achieving lasting peace. He noted that his team is working tirelessly to restore peace and stability, and as a man of God, he believes in the spiritual aspect of peace.
Dr. Isaac also emphasized the need for politicians to prioritize human life and avoid fueling conflicts. He cited the Obiama community in Ikwere, where 21 houses were destroyed due to a clash.
With over 22 years of experience in grassroots security, Dr. Isaac has gained valuable insights into the sources of crime and how to address them. He concluded his speech with a powerful quote: "A great man is not a man who makes war, but a man who makes peace out of war".
