Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has received the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, on a courtesy visit at the Government House in Port Harcourt. The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening collaboration between the state government and the Nigerian Air Force to enhance security and development in the region.

Details of the meeting are still emerging, but Governor Fubara's recent return to office after a six-month suspension has been met with enthusiasm from supporters. He was welcomed back to Port Harcourt with fanfare, and has since resumed duty, promising to address the people of Rivers State and prioritize their needs.
The visit by the Air Chief comes as Fubara seeks to rebuild and stabilize the state following a period of political turmoil. The state had been under emergency rule imposed by President Bola Tinubu, which was lifted in September 2025, allowing Fubara to return to office.
